OH MY IMPACT

OMG 2 OMI

simplifying and maximising impact for the people who love learning.

you love creating and delivering learning experiences that move people. ♡
you
do not love measuring their impact just to prove their worth, last-minute questionnaires,

survey fatigue, complicated frameworks and expensive analysis tools, reducing impact to Likert scales and NPS scores.

impact is not just a numbers game, it should capture the unquantifiable and unintended impact of learning just as much as shifts in mindset, behaviour and business outcomes.

we've been there and felt the time and budget constraints. so we went back to the start and asked ourselves the following questions:

what impact are we trying to evoke?

how do we achieve this?

what is meaningful and valid to measure?

what are we going to do with the results?

we experimented with interventions and mechanisms from the very start, rather than treating impact measurement as an afterthought once we neared the end of a session. true impact is never exclusively a product of L&D outcomes; it is co-created, shaped, and supported by the learners themselves, L&D, and the organisational context. so with much trial and error we created a simple and repeatable process that considers all 3 stakeholder groups and maximises the chances that learning will be impactful:

1. set the right conditions for impactful learning
2. measure what matters
3. act on the evidence

our goal is to approach impact measurement from a learner-centric perspective, to make it accessible to fellow L&D people, and to lower the pressure, so you can invest your time and creativity in designing and delivering meaningful learning experiences, not surveys.

our 3-step approach to create, measure, and sustain impact

1. create the conditions for impactful learning
impact starts with intentional design, not a survey. once you have aligned on the intended impact with stakeholders, get inspired by our checklist and action prompts to design your learning experience with behaviour change in mind. we have shortlisted the conditions that lead to real impact, based on scientific evidence and 10+ years of experience.

2. measure what matters
next comes an understanding of when to use which format for measuring and how to make measurement a learning moment for your participants not just a data collection point. Learn how to do this and more in this chapter.

3. act on the evidence
develop your skills to communicate impact with confidence, turning insights into powerful stories and stronger decisions.
